Broadbeach on the Gold Coast was in the news recently for a very unique reason; it’s unlikely you could even guess it! The topic of conversation was Beer Yoga. Seriously, it’s a thing and it’s going to be happening at the Crafted Beer and Cider Festival, which takes place in Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach, on October 6. Beer Yoga is quite literally yoga with a beer! All about having fun and enjoying the day, the event will see participants learning some basic yoga poses whilst balancing a beer.

Returning for the second year, the Crafted Beer and Cider Festival is a great event that not only shows off the wares of local brewers but also offers some awesome entertainment from local and interstate bands. The cherry on top this year is the opportunity to win ‘Beer for a Year’!

Accommodation in Broadbeach

Whilst the festival only runs for the day, it’s the perfect excuse to book accommodation in Broadbeach for a night or two. This stylish and welcoming Gold Coast suburb is stunning in October, with perfect weather, breath-taking natural scenery and a whole host of great attractions.

If you’re into your crafted beers and ciders, there’s a fair chance you might be a bit of a foodie, too. In which case, holiday accommodation in Broadbeach is a great choice. Home to the Gold Coast’s most famous restaurant precinct, there’s an endless choice of places to eat, from chic coffee-culture cafes to silver service restaurants.

Even better, you can book accommodation within walking distance of the eateries, at the Phoenician Resort. What’s more, the Phoenician is just next door to Kurrawa Park, where the beer festival takes place. Simply leave your car in the secure undercover parking area at the resort and take a leisurely stroll to the festival or restaurants.

If you can’t wait until October to enjoy a break, there are plenty of other great events coming up in the area.

ITU World Triathlon Grand Final (12-16 September)

Alternately, take in the heart-stopping excitement of Coolangatta Gold, the most challenging surf sports endurance race of all.

Gold Coast 600 (19-21 October)

Need more heart-stopping entertainment? Then don’t miss the Gold Coast 600 Supercar Championship – one of the most famous events in Australia. Of course, you don’t need the excuse of an event to book holiday accommodation in Broadbeach. In fact, any excuse will do! Whether you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary, want to catch up with friends or get away with the family, Broadbeach is your best choice on the Gold Coast.

Something for Everyone

There’s no end of great activities to enjoy from adrenalin-driven jet boat rides and scuba diving to romantic sunset cruises. It’s the destination for water babies, sports fans, foodies, shopaholics, theatre buffs and more. There really is something for everyone.

Accommodation in Broadbeach is ideal for business trips, too. Here’s a tip: if you’re attending an event at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, be sure to book accommodation at the Phoenician Resort – it’s just across the road!. Many business travellers are now discovering the advantages of booking a resort apartment as opposed to a hotel or motel room. Whilst the price can be quite comparable, you’ll get a whole lot more bang for your buck, with more space, better security and outstanding facilities. Think how much better your working day will go when you can then relax in the spa or sauna!

Whatever your reason for choosing accommodation in Broadbeach, you’ll be glad you did.
